Released Dapchi school girls: How five of us died and why Boko Haram refused to release christian girl

Ebun Francis || Two of the released Dapchi schoolgirls, Fatsuma Abdullahi and Maryam Yerima, on Wednesday shortly after their release by the Boko Haram insurgents narrated how five of the girls died, while one is still in captivity.
The duo who spoke in Hausa, to Daily Trust, said the five girls had died as a result of the congestion after their abduction. “Out of the five girls that died, I know only two of them - Aisha and Maimuna.
The girls said that since their abduction, there was no serious feeding but they were not harassed or molested by their abductors.
'' We were fed with wild fruits and dates. Five of us died, while one Christian girl is still in captivity for refusing to denounce her faith'', she said.
They asked us to strip our school uniforms and they provided us with this yellow hijab. We spent five days on transit before arriving here''.
They added that while with their captors, they were not treated badly. “They gave us food, In fact, we cooked the meals ourselves, while we were kept in an enclosed place. And not even an airplane would see us.”
