Buhari rejects call to join Islamic coalition against Terror

JUST IN -President Mohammed Buhari today in Saudi Arabia declined the invitation from the king of Saudi Arabia to join the coalition of Islamic countries fighting ISIS in Syria. The president however congratulated the Saudis for the initiative and offered Nigerias support. According to Buhari, ..even if we are not a part of it (coalition of Islamic states against terror), we support you..
The President made the comments at a bilateral meeting between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia in Riyad hosted by their ruler, king Bin Abdul- Aziz. Leaders of both countries expressed commitment to a stable oil market and a rebound of the oil price. The two countries accepted the fact that their two economies are tied to oil and that all cannot be well with both countries if the oil price is unstable. They therefore committed themselves to doing everything possible to stabilize the market and rebound the oil price. Both countries also engaged extensively on discussions on regional and global issues and they agreed that terrorism posed a common threat to their states and would therefore require close cooperation to prevail over the threats. President Buhari is on a one week working visits to Saudi Arabia and Quatar , he is expected back later in the week.
